President & CEO
Mr. Cubitt has 25 years of experience working with resource companies in various capacities as founder, finance agent and institutional investor. Most recently, Mr. Cubitt was director of investments for Vertus Investment Advisory and Ascenta Asset Management, offshore investment advisory firms for which he was responsible for precious metals and special situations mining and energy funds.
Mr. Gale has over 20 years’ experience in managing and advising public and private companies. He is the former Chairman of the Council on Australian Latin American Relations (COALAR) established by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). He is also a founding Director of Allegra Capital, a boutique corporate advisory firm based in Perth and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Mr. Gale’s other current directorships include Oar Resources Limited (ASX: OAR) (Executive Chairman) and Allegra Capital Pty Ltd (Executive Director). Mr. Gale is also an Executive Director of the Company’s largest shareholder Latin Resources Limited and is not considered to be independent.
Mr. Wilson has over 30 years’ experience in the minerals and finance industries. Most recently, Mr. Wilson was instrumental in the re-structuring and financing of Colombian gold explorer Los Cerros Limited, which has gone on to make the Tesorito porphyry gold discovery. Mr. Wilson was the founding Managing Director of Leviathan Resources Limited, a Victorian gold mining company, from its initial public offering through to its takeover in 2006 and is the current Chairman of Navarre Minerals Ltd. His previous experience includes eight years as a geologist with the Anglo American Group in Africa and North America and 14 years as stockbroking analyst and investment banker with CF First Boston and Merrill Lynch in Australia and the US.
Mr. Parker is a geologist by training and has been a member of the FAusIMM for 16 years. Mr. Parker is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and has extensive experience in exploration and project development, overseeing projects from discovery through construction to production. In 21 years with First Quantum Minerals (FQM), he held progressively senior Country Manager positions, and was instrumental in two major copper discoveries; the Lonshi and Frontier mines. Between 2011 to 2017, he was country manager for FQM in Peru, responsible for the design and implementation of FQM’s corporate strategy in Latin America, including Argentina and Chile.
Chafika has over 20 years of experience in corporate governance and sustainability. Chafika has worked and lived in the Americas and Europe, holding positions as VP Corporate Affairs for Bear Creek Mining, during the discovery of the Corani deposit, and Director Corporate Social Responsibility for Hudbay Minerals throughout the construction of the Constancia mine, both in Peru. She has also managed exploration offices for Anglo American and AngloGold Ashanti and performed consulting work in Chile for the Candelaria MinE.
Country Manager for Chilean operations
Mr. Peri was most recently head of generative and exploration operations in Chile for Sumitomo Metal Mining from 2011 – 2020. He is a professional geologist with thirty-five years’ experience. Prior to his tenure with Sumitomo, Mr. Peri held senior management positions with major mining companies in Latin America including Vale, Phelps Dodge, and Cyprus Amax where he was responsible for the evaluation of projects including Antucoya, Refugio, Chimborazo and Altimira.
Mr. Rodney Stevens
Vice President, Finance
Mr. Stevens is a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) charter holder with over a decade of experience in the capital markets, first as an investment analyst with Salman Partners Inc. and subsequently as a merchant and investment banker. While at Salman Partners, he became a top-rated analyst by StarMine on July 17, 2007 for the metals and mining industry. Mr. Stevens served as a Portfolio Manager with Wolverton Securities Ltd. and over the course of his career, has been instrumental in assisting in financings and mergers and acquisitions activities worth over $1 billion in transaction value.
Head of Exploration
Mr. Greenaway is a senior geologist with over 25 years of international mining and exploration experience in Australia, Latin America (Chile & Mexico), Asia (Indonesia) and Africa. He has been involved with the exploration, development and production of copper and gold projects with Hancock Prospecting, Iron Ore Mining, White Star Resources and Talisman Mining. Mr. Greenaway is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Curtin University and Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Western Australia.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Rachel Chae has served as CFO for various publicly traded companies, including a number of junior exploration companies based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ms. Chae is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant working at Cross Davis & Company LLP, a Chartered Professional Accountant firm providing accounting services to publicly listed entities, primarily in the mining sectors. Ms. Chae works directly with mining Chief Executive Officers and directors, assisting with their regulatory and accounting needs.
TECHnical lead Advisor
Mr. Tejada is a professional geologist, registered in British Columbia. He has over 35 years of international mineral industry experience and has a proven track record, working with both major and junior mining and exploration focused organizations. He is currently CEO and a director of Kalo Gold Holdings Corp. Mr. Tejada was Country Manager for Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation in the Philippines and previously Vice President for Exploration of Panoro Minerals Ltd. where he directed the resource definition drilling of its two major copper projects in Peru and Vice President Exploration for Tirex Resources Ltd. He had also been previously involved in the exploration of the Trend and the Belcourt Saxon coal projects in Northeast British Columbia. Mr. Tejada is also a director of several junior mining companies based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
